»Flower Power« in a luxury hotel

EXHIBITION IN THE MANDARIN ORIENTAL

A very special floral magic can be seen at Munich’s 5-star Mandarin Oriental Hotel in summer 2023. The exhibition “Flower Power” features fantastic floral art by Betty Mü, including two round-shaped acrylic prints that can be brought to life via augmented reality as well as two mirror prints in which the viewer becomes part of the art in an analogue way.

In addition, there are works by such renowned artists as Reiner Heidorn, Sebastian Herzau and Sung Hee Seewald. The extraordinary show was curated by art historian Dr. Sonja Lechner. Among the guests at the vernissage were numerous prominent art lovers from Munich society. The exhibition will be shown privately in various luxury suites until autumn 2023.

»Betty Mü takes on the challenges of our present by combining digital space with analogue. Starting with art experiences, installations that transformed a room into a flower power universe of sound and colour by means of projectors and sound, Betty Mü asked herself how these multimedia experiences could be transferred into a tangible form that would transform their temporary character into permanence.

Acrylic glass panes with a film still of her video art of floral colour explosions are the result: ‘Flower Fondue’ hangs on the wall as a form decision, but can also be brought to life in digital space via augmented reality using the mobile phone app Artivive. Immersive art, in other words – Betty Mü offers the viewer the opportunity to make the flowery flow of images flow or to enjoy the momentum of its standstill.«
